Dr. Woolsey was born and raised in Arizona. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science at Northern Arizona University. He then moved to the Pacific Northwest to receive his doctoral training at Pacific University College of Optometry, graduating with distinction in 2017.
Part of his training included rotations in specialty contact lenses in Tucson AZ, primary eye care at Andrews Air Force Base near Washington DC, and ocular disease and co-management in Lake Havasu AZ and Reno NV.
In addition to providing primary eye care, Dr. Woolsey takes a special interest in fitting contact lenses and treating ocular disease. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Optometric Physicians of Washington, and is the current president of the Olympic Optometric Society. Dr. Woolsey also serves as an Adjunct Clinical Professor for Pacific University College of Optometry.
Dr. Woolsey married his wonderful wife, Kailyn, in the summer of 2014 and together they share a daughter. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, snowboarding, golfing, soccer, and woodworking. He is proud to be involved in helping the underserved with free eye exams at the Olympia Union Gospel Mission.
